MyAjax is a MySQL Ajax Table viewer which allows for sorting, searching, and viewing of large amounts of MySQL table data in a quick and easy to use Ajax web interface. MyAjax features Ajax Sortable Columns, Ajax Search, and Ajax Paginated Results. Uses jQuery for Ajax calls and Javascript functions. Config file includes customisation variables to set which fields to display and their default sort order, which field to search on, results per page and more.

Family Tree PHP uses the php scripting language to import gedcom files and store them in a MySql database. Each time a visitor visits a page, the page is dynamicly created from the database content. When you want to update the website, you only have to re-import the gedcom file.

The Dojo Toolkit is an open-source JavaScript toolkit for building great web applications. It shortens the time between idea and implementation by providing a well conceived API and set of tools for assisting and fixing the issues experienced in everyday web development. It is lightning fast, extremely robust, and supplies a solid set of tools for DOM manipulation, Animations, Ajax, Event and keyboard normalization, Internationalization (i18n) and Accessibility (a11y). The Base of Dojo is a single, lightweight entity (26KB "across the wire"). Dojo is completely free, liberally licensed (AFL or BSD), and transparently developed by an active group of developers with a strong community presence.

This is a versatile Ajax Tabs Content script that lets you display content pulled from external files inside a DIV and organized via CSS tabs. A fully unobtrusive, CSS and HTML based script, it supports practical features such as persistence of the active tab (ie: when page is reloaded), an "IFRAME" mode, a "slideshow" mode, ability to expand/contract arbitrary DIVs on the page at the same time, nested tabs, and much more. We got our inspiration for this script from Yahoo's homepage, which employs such a concept to show news in an organized fashion.

As you may have realized, this is an image magnifier. It's a completely rewritten version of my script tjpzoom, but still is in JavaScript / DOM :). If you move your mouse over the picture, you can see a little zoom window with a magnified version of a part of the picture in it.

Video JS is a javascript-based video player that uses the HTML5 video functionality built into advanced browsers. In general, the benefit of using an HTML5 player is a consistent look between browsers.

I have made an example of the Gmail username style signup page. Where you enter your selected username and click Check Username the script will then check to see if the username is taken if so make some suggestions as to others like that one which are available.

I’ve completed my updating of my aging AJAX help balloons / tool tips / dialog balloons / whatever you want to call them. New features included: Less library dependence. It’s still prototype.js-based and dependent, but no longer requires Scriptaculous nor the prototype “improvement” script that they previously used. You can optionally still use Scriptaculous if you want the sexy fading effects. Just include the scriptaculous.js file in your document and the balloons will detect it and use it, no configuration needed. (However, if you want to use different Scriptaculous effects than the standard Fade and Appear, you can set the hideEffect and/or fadeEffect options to whatever you want… Doesn’t even have to be Scriptaculous, just Scriptaculous-compatible) Use any object as an anchor point. This was available in later revisions of v1, but I’ve solidified it’s support. Simply assign the anchoring element as the balloon’s icon property at instantiation. (See the example page for details) Anchor postioning control. This feature allows you to move the anchor around within your icon for fine-tuning the balloon’s display. (See the example page for details) Non-caching remote data requests. If you’ve ever tried to use v1 of the balloons with dynamic data, you’d know that once the balloon makes it’s first request, it caches the request result and would not make subsequent calls for fresh data. You can now force the balloon to make a fresh request before each showing using instantiation options. (See the example page for details) Fixed direction assignment. By default, the balloons will position themselves based on available realestate, but you can now assign a fixed direction using instantiation options. (See the example page for details) Still 100% free, now released under the MIT open source license. Better organized and fully commented/documented code. This was a complete refactor/rewrite of the code base, and I made sure to comment the code very thoroughly and try to explain my reasoning (or insanity) as best I could. In addition, I’ve written a proper API page, and have revisited the examples page.
